There are a lot of books out there on how to become a creative. And a lot of schools where you can learn to be a creative. But let’s say you find success on your chosen path, and they put you in charge of other creatives. Nobody tells you what to do then. There’s no book on how to lead creative teams.

So I wrote one.

Raising Creative Teams is a step-by-step guide for new, aspiring, and experienced creative leaders. You’ll learn what a creative leader’s job is (helping their team be more successful) and what it’s not (telling people what to change about their work). How to have one-to-ones. What the heck a one-to-one is in the first place. How to build creative culture. How to hire the right people. How to give feedback in a way that teams will listen. And, most importantly, how to say thank you.

And by the way, thank you for reading this far.

It’s written in natural, jargon-free language. It’s funny, and often irreverent. There may be some dad jokes. It’s a conversation with the reader, never a lecture. It’s a management book that people will actually enjoy reading. It’s a management book I hope you will enjoy reading.

You can find it on Amazon.com, or on Bookshop.org if you’re not interested in financing Jeff’s next yacht.
